BALINT, Becca, a Representative from Vermont; born in Heidelberg, Germany, May 4, 1968; graduated from Walter Panas High School, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., 1986; attended Barnard College, New York, N.Y.; A.B., Smith College, Northampton, Mass., 1990; Ed.M., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 1994; M.A., University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Mass., 2000; teacher; editorial columnist; member of the Vermont state senate, 2015-2023, majority leader, 2017-2021, president pro tempore, 2021-2023; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Eighteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2023-present).
