Capitol Markets is a small public-interest research project. All data is sourced from official STOCK Act disclosures. How we calculate everything →

Public record. Not investment advice. Filing alerts notify you when a politician discloses a trade — typically 30–45 days after the trade itself per the STOCK Act window.

Frequently asked

Do I need an account to read the site?

No. The leaderboard, every politician profile, every filing, every conflict flag — all of it is free to read without signing up. Paid plans are for getting alerted when a politician files a trade, plus the alert routing to Telegram, Discord, custom webhooks, or a private RSS feed.

Is this real-time?

The STOCK Act gives politicians 30–45 days to disclose. Capitol Markets alerts you the moment the disclosure is filed — typically within minutes of it landing on the official House Clerk or Senate EFD database. That's as fast as anyone can be, by law.

What does 'conflict flag' mean?

When a politician trades a stock in a sector their committee directly regulates (e.g. an Armed Services Committee member trading defense contractors), Capitol Markets flags it. Flagging is not an accusation of wrongdoing — STOCK Act trades are legal — it's a structural conflict-of-interest signal worth knowing about.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time from your account page. We don't lock you in. The Founders' rate is the one exception — once locked at $5/mo, you keep that rate forever as long as your subscription stays active.

Do you sell my data?

No. We collect your email to send alerts you've subscribed to. That's it. See the privacy policy.
