ELLZEY, Jake, a Representative from Texas; born in Potter County, Tex., January 24, 1970; graduated from Perryton High School, Perryton, Tex., 1988; B.S., United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., 1992; United States Navy, 1992-2012; business executive; commercial pilot; member of the Texas veterans commission, 2012-2018; member of the Texas state house of representatives, 2021; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress in 2018; elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative Ron Wright, and reelected to the two succeeding Congresses (July 27, 2021-present).
