PLASKETT, Stacey E., a Delegate from the Virgin Islands; born in New York, Kings County, N.Y., May 13, 1966; graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall, Wallingford, Conn., 1984; B.S.F.S., Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., 1988; J.D., American University, Washington, D.C., 1994; lawyer, private practice; professional advocate; staff, United States Delegate Ron de Lugo of the Virgin Islands, 1988; Bronx County, N.Y., assistant district attorney, 1994-1997; staff, House Committee on Ethics, 1998-2002; staff, United States Department of Justice, 2002-2004; general counsel, Virgin Islands economic development authority, 2007-2014; unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress in 2012; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fourteenth and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2015-present); one of the managers appointed by the House of Representatives in 2021 to conduct the impeachment proceedings of Donald J. Trump, President of the United States.
