MCCORMICK, David Harold, a Senator from Pennsylvania; born in Washington, Penn., August 17, 1965; graduated Bloomsburg High School, Bloomsburg, Penn., 1983; B.S., mechanical engineering, United States Military Academy, West Point, 1987; M.P.A., Princeton University, 1994; Ph.D., international relations, Princeton University, 1996; United States Army, 1987-1992; served in Operation Desert Storm during the First Gulf War, attaining the rank of captain and receiving the Bronze Star; software company and investment firm president and chief executive officer; under secretary for export administration, Department of Commerce, 2005-2006; deputy national security advisor for international economic affairs in the George W. Bush administration, 2006-2007; under secretary for international affairs, Department of the Treasury, 2007-2009; elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in 2024 for the term ending January 3, 2031.
