ROSS, Deborah K., a Representative from North Carolina; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., June 20, 1963; A.B., Brown University, Providence, R.I., 1985; J.D., University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N.C., 1990; lawyer, private practice; state director, American Civil Liberties Union, 1994-2002; member of the North Carolina state house of representatives, 2003-2013; unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 2016; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventeenth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2021-present).
