HICKENLOOPER, John Wright, (great-nephew of [Bourke Blakemore Hickenlooper](https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/H000559) ), a Senator from Colorado; born in Narbeth, Penn., February 7, 1952; graduated The Haverford School, Haverford, Penn., 1970; B.A., English, Wesleyan University, 1974; M.S., geology, Wesleyan University, 1980; geologist; brewpub owner; mayor of Denver 2003-2011; governor of Colorado 2011-2019; was an unsuccessful candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020; elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 2020 for the term ending January 3, 2027.
